Recreation - For you serious slalom skiers, this lake has slalom course ready and waiting to be used. This lake is host to a variety of water activities: wakeboarding, water skiing, tubing, jet skis, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. You name it, if there's a water activity out there, you can do it on this 2500+ acre lake. OK....there's no ski jump on this lake, so exclude ski jumping from your list of water activities. According to local residents, this lake is great for fishing. In fact the state record bass was caught on this lake, weighing in at 19.6 lbs. WOW!!! Now that's a big bass. Fish populations include brim, shell-crackers, bluegills, speckled perch, and bass. Talk to the guys at Lake Tarpon Bait Tackle and Rental, they'll tell you how great the fishing is on this lake. They hear all about the daily catches.
