Lake Harris and Little Lake Harris - The two lakes of Lake Harris and Little Lake Harris have a combined size of 18,446 acres. Lake Harris is surrounded by beautiful hills and cypress trees. The local residents call this part of Florida “The Mountains” considering the rest of Florida is tremendously flat. If one decides to visit this chain of lakes, there are three main public launching ramps on Lake Harris. These ramps are located at the Venetian Cove Marina in Leesburg, Hickory Point near the Howey bridge, and off of US Highway 27 to the west.
